You are majorly misinformed.

"Thumbs down" in ancient Rome meant to let the Gladiator live. It was the "meh, let him live" gesture.

"Thumbs up" meant the Caesar or man in charge of the event had to make an effort (by simply raising his thumb) to allow the killing of a Gladiator.

While this doesn't exactly fit the joke, I have always felt this way about including Panzer Dragoon Saga somewhere on every top 100 video game list ever published by a major magazine or website.

Why is it always there? Is it because it is rare? Is it trendy to list a Sega Saturn game that 99.9% of your readership has never played, or even heard of?

While I believe PDS is good enough to make a top 100 list, I have never felt it was the best game on the system. Meaning if you are going to arbitrarily include a Saturn game, it should be something else. And why do other rare/good games never get any love if they are being added to show off esoteric video game knowledge?
