SNES Kiosk and found Sega Kiosk at Dr office, need info!

I'd like to add my two cents. I know this is an old thread, but the recent bump got me thinking.

We can get a reasonable estimate of the date of this kiosk based upon two clues: (1)Sonic the Hedgehog art and (2) controller configuration.

The artwork on the front seems (at least to me) to be from Sonic 1. Notice the extra-round belly and the absence of Miles "Tails" Prower. Sonic 1 came out in June of 1991.

The 3-button controller predates the release of Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition in September of 1993.

Considering that this is a promotional display we may assume that this may shortly predate commercial release of the games it promotes. None of the artwork promotes the November 1992 release of Sonic 2, so we may assume this kiosk was made well ahead of that date.

I think we can safely date this kiosk to 1991 or early 1992.
