Yeah, just edit yr OP, change the main text and the title to add PLUS. No problems.

Re: Strikers 1945, 1945 II, 1945 III + Plus Hi-Scores
Just had a quick blast on the Saturn version of S1945 II for comparison. According to the shmups forum thread, there are differences in boss patterns and bullet speed between original (normal screen) and arcade (TATE screen), so I guess it makes sense to have different tables.
STRIKERS 1945 II (Original)
DocHauser - 454,300 - 1-5 - F5U Flying Pancake - Saturn
Also, the US PSX Strikers 1945 (which is Strikers 1945 II) doesn't seem to have an arcade/TATE mode, so you're stuck with Original.

Four score(s) and several hours ago....Exed's Psikyo 1-4 curse carries on.
S1945I
ExedExes - 360,500 - 1-4 - Zero - MAME

S1945II
ExedExes - 404,600 - 1-4 - F5U Flying Pancake - MAME

S1945III
ExedExes - 369,300 - 1-4 - X-36 - MAME

S1945+
ExedExes - 343,500 - 1-4 - P-55 Ascender - MAME

What's the big deal about 1-5 anyway?

If you want some tips for getting past stage 4, my usual tactic is something like:
Stage 1 - Shouldn't need to bomb, you can use the charge shot against the boss, but I usually try and save that too, just so I can go into the next level fully powered-up. (Unless you're playing the first Strikers, where you can use the charge shot as much as you like.)
Stage 2 - You can use the charge shot during the level if you run into a tricky section. I try and get to the boss with a level-3 charge shot. That way I can kill it without using a bomb. But you can get away with using a bomb here.
Stage 3 - Getting a bit trickier now, use the charge shot during the level and hopefully you should get to the boss with no lives lost and at least 4 bombs. So you can afford to use 1 or 2 bombs here.
Stage 4 - You should have at least 2 bombs in stock and two lives in hand, so if your goal is to reach stage 5, you can just bomb your way through this level.
I'll see if I can record a video as well...

Beat my previous score!
STRIKERS 1945 II (Arcade)
DocHauser - 574,800 - 1-6 - Ki84 Hayate - MAME
I knew I was getting close to the extend, so I panicked a bit on Stage 6.
Video (HD available):
I wasn't really paying attention to the medal scores during the game, but it looks like I picked up quite a few 200-point ones. That's probably enough points dropped to make it to the extend.

Sorry if I missed this - so Strikers 1945 Plus, 2 lives is the default on the MVS cart - is it the same on MAME? Psikyo games are much tougher w/only 2 lives, only getting to stage 3 so far.
Strikers 1945 Plus

2 lives is the default on MAME, but OP has that lives can be set to 3, and the score I had submitted was with 3 lives.mjmjr25 wrote:Sorry if I missed this - so Strikers 1945 Plus, 2 lives is the default on the MVS cart - is it the same on MAME?

Yeah, 3 lives is ok. The shmups forum thread does it that way, so I think it's ok for us to do the same
I think the PSP version may be the only one where you're stuck with 2 lives and can't change it to 3. Don't know if anyone actually has the PSP version, though...
