Exactly what I was thinking. Go buy a bunch of $5 violent movies from Wal-Mart, and voila! Make hundreds of dollars in profit!

I was gonna say, if they didn't snap the discs....TIME TO GO DUMPSTER DIVING!!!

Can you imagine what some people might put in there. There could be some real collectibles...or...there could be a lot of Call of Duty games....so...not much of a real loss.

In all seriousness though, I find this so unbearably frustrating. People burn things for what reason? Do they think that the game companies will go, "Well! Time to stop making violent videogames?"

It is to encourage other people to act out violently. I honestly feel that destroying and burning things is a violent act, that promotes a mob mentality and continues to endorse ignorance towards the important issues of the treatment of mental health and gun control.

I remember when Sinead O'conner went on Saturday Night Live and sang a song, changing some words to "child abuse" and ripped a picture up of the Pope in response to the catholic church covering up the child molestation accusations during the early 1990's....people burned all her stuff and called her a heretic and guess what..SHE WAS RIGHT! She was completely valid in her statement and stand. And no one said, "whoops...sorry about that."

The same will be for video games.

That was the first thought I had: someone should totally collect a bunch of football (Maddens?), boxing and wrestling titles, distribute to different friends in an organized group (according to the rules this seems necessary), rack in the dough, then post about it.

You think we would have learned after pointless mid-nineties Congressional Hearings when Night Trap, the SuperScope and Doom- among others- were put on public trial. We tend to look everywhere but where the problem lies.
