What was Nintendo's short lived come back to that campaign? Nintendo is what Genesisn't? Or something like that.
Also, get him Vectorman and Comix Zone and Strider (if you can). Also outrun.

The answer is always Sega Genesis

Genesis.Arcade hit and run, adventure, sports and fighting, No rpg's. He grew up with me going to arcades and playing all the systems I mentioned for the poll.

No, he said the he used to play all those systems and go to arcades with him. He never said he preferred one over the other. He also mentioned the guy liking Adventure and Fighting games, which SNES excels in both.Damm64 wrote:Arcade games... Go the SEGA route my friend.
The "better" gift will depent of the taste of the person and his/her preferences, and for what mas said looks like the genesis suits his brothers tastes better.BurningDoom wrote:Genesis is cheaper. But do want to get the cheaper gift? Or the better gift? I'm definetly of the opinion that while Genesis is a fantastic system that any retro-gamer should own, the SNES is one of the very few systems that are better than the Genesis. The game library of the SNES has some of the greatest games of all-time.
If it were me, I'd get the SNES along with Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, and Super Street Fighter II.
But the Genesis is still a fantastic system. Just seems to me it's a lot easier and cheaper to get a Genesis at any time while a SNES is getting more pricey every day.

SNES is a better system. Because it's the best system of all time.
But the Genesis is cheaper, the games are cheaper, the games seem more suited to mas' brother, and it's easier to find Genesises that haven't turned piss-yellow.

Go with Sega man. You can get a lot of classics like Streets of Rage, Sonic, and a ton of others for very cheap. I think $75 could go a long way. I am one of the few who could care less about the SNES and will never own one. Also Sega are one of the kings of arcade games to me, also my favorite style of games.
