That looks so terrible.
Did they learn nothing from last time?

Are you sure you didn't make a mistake there? Those are some of the worst controllers ever created.Menegrothx wrote:FTFYMrPopo wrote:The Coleco-/Intellivision controller is all the ergonomics you need.Pulsar_t wrote: Don't want radical anythingBut one thing is certain: That Dualschlock design has got to go. It's archaic and hardly ergonomic.

I like the Atari 5200 controller for its reliability.

But that's how Move works, the camera tracks the glowing balls.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Hopefully they figure out a way to integrate motion controls without the need for those giant testicles on top of the controller.

Re: Sony’s radical PlayStation 4 controller concept
I think the sentence "that looks balls" may be appropriate here.
As long as it controls and handles fine I don't care though.
Aside: I don't think the NES controller is very comfortable.
One of the most comfortable pads for holding is the original Microsoft Sidewinder, in shape and has perhaps the most comfortable d-pad I ever rested my thumb on.
But the Sidewinder d-pad is crap for precision movements.
In contrast, the Nintendo d-pad is possibly the best for precision, but gives me callosities too frequently. Sony's disjointed d-pads are decently comfortable but don't control so well for my taste. The Sega d-pad on the Saturn is perhaps the nearest to a perfect compromise.

Yeah, that truly is a controller wit sum ballz!
In all fairness though, Sony has patented a lot of concepts that have never seen the light of day

Re: Sony’s radical PlayStation 4 controller concept
I actually think this is a pretty good idea. Allows them to have a motion controller a la Wii style, while having a hardcore controller a la well PS3 style. Best of both worlds.

Still love that controller. And the JogCon too...
Too bad they never used that concept again.
Always frustrated me when I looked at the original oXbox controller.
That logo should've been a force feedback wheel...
Those balls make the OP's concept controller look retarded though...
