Its my favorite game of all time, I own every release of the original except the PAL and the box for the Asian release. If I am ever having a really shitty day I will just load it up and walk around killing octorots. To the point that my groomsmen gift for my wedding is a hacked version of Zelda 1: where the story is about my finace and myself and the items are renamed for the wedding party, on an NES cart. Thank you NES Dump...Luke wrote:That's a shit ton of Zelda. I've gone thru the game maybe ten times. Re: Games You Have Played Over 100 Times
PC:
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
Command & Conquer Generals / Zero Hour
SimCity 2000
SimCity 3000
Civilization 3 Complete
Commander Keen Episode 1
Commander Keen Episode 4
Doom
Wolfenstein 3D
Elite Forces Vietnam 2 Black Ops Special Assignment (horrid game, but I was too young to realize)
Playstation:
Medal of Honor
Medal of Honor: Underground
Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase
Playstation 2:
Medal of Honor: Frontline
Medal of Honor: Rising Sun
Metal Gear Solid 2
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Scooby Doo: Night of 100 Frights
SOCOM
SOCOM 2
SOCOM 3
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat
Genesis:
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Something I notice is that every single game on my list is something I had started playing by the time I was 13. Even when I still had plenty of time for replaying games as a 14-16-year-old, I got in the habit of only going through a game once or twice except for a favorite few. I guess it's sort of like how little kids can watch the same movie multiple times per day and not get bored.
Also my younger self had kinda weak tastes and too much love for the FPS genre.

Me and my brother have had several games of 60+ battles with all eight characters for team battle.Luke wrote:Mostly Survival and Team Battle actually. Remember I was playing Soul Calibur in college while you were a zygote. Ten team battles a year for over ten years adds up quickly.SamuraiMegas wrote:Soul Calibur.
That is if you mean arcade mode.
Another one to add to the list:
NBA JAM

Re: Games You Have Played Over 100 Times
Do you mean "beaten" 100 times or just "turned on to play" 100 times or more?
I can't think of a single game I've beaten from start to finish more than a few times.

Heck yes it is! Have to get the Tuxedo. It's easily one of my favorite games, and for some reason it's still as amazing and hasn't aged. Plus, the Twin Snakes is a faithful adaptation for the Gamecube.Luke wrote:That's a shit ton of MGS.Blu wrote: Metal Gear Solid (PS1)

Re: Games You Have Played Over 100 Times
I don't know if I've beaten any game over 100 times. Maybe Street Fighter II Turbo for SNES because I played that A LOT.
This is kind of a thread of "what games did you have as a kid" because that's when I had few games and lots of free time (whereas now I have lots of games and little free time).
The games I beat many many times would be:
NES
The Adventures of Bayou Billy
Bionic Commando
Ghosts 'N Goblins
Gumshoe
Journey to Silius
Ninja Gaiden
Ninja Gaiden II
Pro Wrestling
Section Z
Super C
Super Mario Bros
SNES
Castlevania IV
Contra III
Cybernator
Samurai Shodown
Star Fox
Street Fighter II Turbo
Super Mario World
Super Punch Out
UN Squadron
N64
KI: Killer Instict Gold
Star Fox 64
Super Mario 64
Wave Race
