It seems like a good sturdy product but very bulky. It'd be a little hard to carry around and what's the point if I can only use it between an average of 7 AM to 8 PM?ZeroAX wrote:This bad boy:

it will take forever for it to lose its charge, and you get the strongest lighting in the market with it. Seriously this thing could light a solar system.
Best lights for a GBA?

Re: Best lights for a GBA?
heres one that I enjoyed back in the day.
It wasnt the best of the bunch, but it did have added protection when it was in your pocket or laying around the room. You had to have a decent angle and sometimes you could see the reflection of the light on the GBA screen, But it was functional.
Please note that the site is not mine:
There used to be these guys in White, Pink and the purple one there.
I beat castlevania Cirlcle of The Moon way back when, with this light.

That looks pretty cool, honestly. I might consider that.flojocabron wrote:heres one that I enjoyed back in the day.

Re: Best lights for a GBA?
I tried an intec light that looks almost identical to that Pelican light (although the Pelican one looks like it has a brightness dial and might have a wider LED range).
On my intec one, the light quality is kind of poor, only lighting about half the screen adequately (and a weird rainbow glare on the better lit half).
Anyways, I wouldn't expect too much from it.
I've tried a handful of other lights, but still need to get one of those Halo lights.
The best "external" one that I've come across is the Gamester Flood Light. However, it takes 3 AA batteries and basically doubles the size (and practically the weight) of the system.
Everything else is no better than a worm light to me (and in some ways worse because you have more control and angles with a worm light).
By far, the best way to play my original GBA is directly under a good lamp. I have a desk lamp right over my bed for such occasions.
Not what you asked for, I know, but definitely an effective option if you are playing at home.

I do the same thing with my GBA, I actually have a lamp with a felxible base I that hangs over my favorite spot on the couch. I'm just on the go a lot and would like to play my games using an original GBA.nightrnr wrote:I tried an intec light that looks almost identical to that Pelican light (although the Pelican one looks like it has a brightness dial and might have a wider LED range).

You must have missed this thread:

This mod is the best of both worlds, it is a little costly depending on what you have already, but I love it.

I saw that, but I have no way of installing it. I would love to do it but I wouldn't be able to install it, or even afford it.jay_red wrote:You must have missed this thread:

Re: Best lights for a GBA?
I have a Worm Light that I got when the GBA was brand new. It works fine. The only problem is that there will be a bright spot somewhere on the screen, depending on what angle you hold the GBA at. It made Castlevania: Circle of the Moon playable though. It also has a pass-through port, which is nice.
Edit: Apparently there are multiple styles of Worm Light, and some don't have the pass-through port.

Re: Best lights for a GBA?
When I was a kid, I had a wormlight for my GameBoy Color. It was complete ass. The screen was obscured by a blinding light.

Plus it's great for playing Boktai!ZeroAX wrote:This bad boy:
