The 32X overlays some things on top of the Genesis output. If you set up and play a 32X game, but only take video from the Genesis, not routing through the 32X too, you'll be missing things. So with the 32X missing up, I guess you're seeing stuff you shouldn't behind it.

I had freezing of some carts and had to bend the pins on my Genny a little. It made everything fit tighter. Before I did that carts would be wobbly and if you bumped the system it would always freeze, some times for no reason. After I bent my pins a little I never had a problem.

Yeah I'm aware of that but I did have the connector cable between 32X and Genesis so that cant explain what was happening :?

I actually had this issue with a 32X when I was putting it into a Model 2 Gen without the spacer attachment. I searched google and saw a post about the cause being related to a failing cpu on the 32x.
Dejected, I thought I would pack it in, but after trying it with a Model 1 Gen, it hasn't had any of the problems with 32X carts or Genesis carts. (I had the same issues of Gen cartridges freezing after roughly 5-15 minutes of play, and Tempo unable to load options, problems loading music and backgrounds, etc. None of the Genesis cartridges had this problem in any other configuration.) The 32X still makes me a little uncomfortable, though.
I don't know if this helps at all, but if you were setting it up with a Model 2 without a spacer, you might want to try tracking down a spacer, or hooking it up with a Model 1 before you get your hands too sticky with internal repairs.

I do have the plastic thing that sits between Genesis and 32X but I dont have the metal clips. I've been thinking about getting a model 1 Genesis for looks, but I'll need the expansion for my model 2 Sega CD and the 32X cable for model 1 Genesis.

I just reseated and cleaned the cables and the 32X works again. Are there any ways of preventing the cables from becoming loose again with out soldering?
