Dunno, but ESR can boot Japanese backups on an American PS2. I'm sure it can boot American backups on a Japanese PS2. If you go the burned swap magic route, it won't matter which you download.

Yeah, that was kind of what I thought. I thought I would go with swap magic just because I'd like to have the option to play the original disc, and not have to burn everything. Thanks for looking into it for me.

I guess there's an ELF for Swap Magic, but I'm not really sure about how that works.

SwapMagic needs to have a Table Of Contents on the disk that's bigger than the game you're swapping with. If you use the ELF, you'll still need to insert a disk with a big TOC. Doing it that way will actually take longer.
