NES
-Life Force
-Contra

Saturn
-System

My main focus has been NES games, though I wouldn't say I have a big collection by any means. I have about 80 carts.

My goal has always been to have all the games everyone remembers playing. Not the crazy obscure stuff that some hardcores would have played, like Deadly Towers or something, but all the rest. So basically when someone comes over to my place and sees I have an NES collection, and then they say "Aw, do you have (insert game here)?" then I can say, "Yep. Got that one."

Otherwise, my personal goal is to collect complete copies all of the Nintendo first party games, especially the 33 early "black box" titles. The hardest of these to get is Stack Up, complete with all the pieces for R.O.B. I have about two-thirds of them, but not all complete.

My goal is more vague. I try to collect a huge variety of games across all consoles. I have something like 20 gaming systems between handhelds and consoles. I guess I want the collection to feel like a rental shop for obscure but handpicked games. I've got 400 or so games and I think I only want a few more for the classic consoles.

The exception is Sega Genesis. I want to have an entire wall of full cased Genesis Games. The same idea as yours for the NES. If anyone is over and wants to play Genesis I gots to have that game!

I sort of...

I collect games beaten, and the experiences of playing them rather than boxes / carts etc.

I just try to play as many good games as possible, across all systems I have access to. Due to logistics lately I have been doing mostly GBA games.

After a Year...

Post by droorz77 »

I started collecting about a year ago and I was trying to find all the Formula One games and a couple racing games for the systems I had the PS1&2, Xbox and Xbox 360. I then went to a store that had Dreamcast games and I saw they had a couple F1 games for that system so I bought a Dreamcast, then I saw a Saturn at the same store with a F1 game, so I bought a Saturn. After playing the old games I started thinking about all the old games I had or friends had growing up, and how I traded them all in at funco land. (stupid!!) I started buying up old systems and games that I just liked. No rhyme or reason.

So trying to get a handful of Formula one games turned into me owning all this, it has been a rough year, fun though...

PS1 – 136 Games
PS2 – 30 Games
PS3 – 4 Games
PSP – 30 Games
Xbox – 50 Games
Xbox 360 – 13 Games
Nintendo 8-Bit – 33 carts and a Powerpak
Super Nintendo – 4 games
Nintendo 64 – 77 Games
Nintendo Gamecube - 18 Games
Nintendo Wii – 8 games
Nintendo DS – 15 Games
Nintendo GBA - 13 games
Atari 2600 – 30 Games
Atari Jaguar – 6 Games
Sega Genesis – 22 games
Sega CD - 22 Games
Sega 32X - 5 Games
Sega Saturn – 54 Games
Sega Dreamcast – 52 games
Panasonic 3DO – 16 Games
Intellivision – 19 Games

I am now working on getting more Super Nintendo games and a Jaguar CD.

Need for speed was the only reason I got the thing... Road Rash is fun though. (grin)

I loved the 3DO version of Road Rash!
I used to play that, SSF2T and Jurassic Park on a demo machine in Meijers. They always had a good selection of demo games back in the day :)

I'm always looking to add games and systems that I don't have, but only if the price point is really low, because I'm a student w/o a job.

I'm becoming more and more interested in collecting boxed/complete games. Genesis seems to be the easiest/cheapest to collect boxed. I'm also really interested in getting promotional materials, odd peripherals and accessories.

I've got a single-handed/ hand-attachable playstation controller. It's really neat and I haven't seen another. I actually can't find one on the net either.

I'd really like to get all the games I used to play as a kid that my dad threw out when our nes "died." If only we'd known about the pin replacement back then...We lost around 150 carts that day.

Dont really have a plan for this.

I would say to get back all those games I loved back in the day, which I stupidly sold off or part exchanged.
