I think it's hard to do for TVs with the lack of a standard interface. Setting up different profiles makes sense if you have different viewing conditions, or if various sources look different. What looks good for film in the dark won't necessarily look good playing games during the day.
Many TVs offer multiple profiles to accomodate this.
