Re: Summer-themed games
ok, noise, here's a list of games I consider to be "summer themed"-- but I truthfully rarely play them in the summer:
Outrun series
Cruisn' series
Summer Games series/Activision Decathalon/ Track and Field/etc.
California Games
any baseball game
River Raid
games that prominently feature the desert (Journey, Riddle of the Sphinx, Desert Falcon, etc.) or the beach (Cool Spot, volleyball games, Aladdin, etc.)
Vice City
that's off the top of my head, but again - I really don't play them in the summer which is what i thought you were asking before...

Re: Summer-themed games
word. I'm actually toying with picking up a NGPC and Baseball Stars to be my "beach handheld."dsheinem wrote: any baseball game
I hadn't really thought of Desert games, so that's kind of a good point. Aladdin is a good one. Journey rules. Of course I've already played through it twice. But yeah, I could gladly do it again, haha.games that prominently feature the desert (Journey, Riddle of the Sphinx, Desert Falcon, etc.) or the beach (Cool Spot, volleyball games, Aladdin, etc.)
Really glad this landed on my Summer Gaming list. One of the nights I was playing it, it was 100 degrees man. So I'd like play for a mission or two, run to the bedroom and let the AC blast me for ten mins, head back out to go through another mission.Vice City
yeah, my question was really meant as "recommend good Summer themed games that others could play in the Summer," not necessarily ones you already do play in the Summer.that's off the top of my head, but again - I really don't play them in the summer which is what i thought you were asking before...

The Secret of Monkey Island

well, the Monkey Island series in general. But I'm trying to convince my wife that she needs to play this game this Summer. She was playing Gabriel Knight, but she's never played P&C Adventure games before and found it a little obscure -- I feel like Monkey Island is probably a lot more n00b friendly.

Re: Summer-themed games
seeing as some of you have been discussing the Summer Game Challenge, I was reminded of this thread I had started and thought I'd bump it to continue the conversation.
