Marvel vs Capcom Origins Discussion Thread
Re: Marvel vs Capcom Origins Announced
Funnily, people still play XMvsSF because of these combos and oddities. They took them out of MSHvsSF and everyone complained.

As soon as these games come out the playstation and dreamcast versions of these games will drop in price fast. Look at what happened to final fantasy

Not necessarily.mas wrote:As soon as these games come out the playstation and dreamcast versions of these games will drop in price fast. Look at what happened to final fantasy
Final Fantasy 7 and Castlevania SOTN still command a decent $30, despite the availablity of digital versions. Chrono Trigger on SNES is still $60 despite the fact that you can get that game on a ton of different platforms now.
Of course it might be a bit different with fighters thanks to online play. Marvel vs Capcom 2's ps2 port dropped like a tank after the online version came out after all...
Re: Marvel vs Capcom Origins Announced
I just remember that before they released final fantsy 7 on psn the game was 70.00 or so for some odd reason and now it's dropped to 30.00. Chrono on snes is still up there because i think people want to play that on a snes. Also the snes is a system that holds its own for quality games and value of the games. Look at the snes library. Many games are still up there. You want a nintendo franchise game, your spending 15.00 and upAppleQueso wrote:Not necessarily.mas wrote:As soon as these games come out the playstation and dreamcast versions of these games will drop in price fast. The originals aren't as pricey as MvC2 was though.mas wrote:As soon as these games come out the playstation and dreamcast versions of these games will drop in price fast. Look at what happened to final fantasy
I am excited to see these though as I am fans of the original.
And I agree that I liked XMvSF best (and COTA was good too), so I would like to see it in the bundle. I'm getting pretty excited with all these re-releases. My PS3 will be loaded up nicely
All I can say is all these games better stay around once Sony moves on to another Playstation or two.

With Capcom Digital Collection being released exclusively on the 360 recently, here's hoping Capcom makes a CDC Vol.2 "Marvel Edition" with MVC1, MVC2 and MSH on one disc! All I can say is all these games better stay around once Sony moves on to another Playstation or two.

Re: Marvel vs Capcom Origins Announced
OH YES. I'm going to go ahead and say it.
MvC >MvC2 > MvC3
MvC >MvC2 > MvC3
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
