Sonic has a ring system in place so it is never a one hit kill (unless you are out of rings).

I had it as a kid, and literally threw the disc out my window. It's the only game that has ever frustrated me to that point.

It was one of the most shameless entries in the glut of Sonic-style mascot platformers.

It's the equivalent to releasing a modern shooter today with unpolished game mechanics and calling it Yell of Service: Current Armed-Conflict.

Granted I never gave the series much of a chance after "Bubsy Kicks Dr. Machino's Butt."

I got Bubsy for SNES back in the day when it came out. I think we ordered it from one of those Chips N Bits ads in the back of an EGM or a GamePro. I didn't think it was a bad game, just kind of difficult. Of course, I was 12 at the time. I remember my best friend's mother really loved the game so I let them borrow it after I had beaten it a few times and had my fill.
