Maybe I'll take advantage of this and finish off either the Allied Red Alert campaign or the GDI Tiberian Sun campaign. Those and the Zero Hour campaigns are the only C&C campaigns I haven't beaten yet.

Confirmation on this? My PS1 Nyco Trakball only works on PS1 Red Alert; Command and Conquer does not support it. There is the SmartJoyFrag adapter though. C&C has better music, Mechanical Man track is me favorite.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:The PS1 version also works with it's mouse.

Nice man I will be playing the Saturn version as well,Im with you on the mouse support too.I fell in love with mouse controls for certain games that improve with it,for instance Elemental Gearbolt!Curlypaul wrote:I've got the Saturn version of this that I have never played. I played Warcraft 2 on the Saturn all the way to the end, but it was damned hard work with no mouse.

Taking out NOD from the "inside out" and even acquiring their building abilities
I'm liking this patch. All the PS1 and N64 missions, the hidden "Funpack" stuff unlocked and remixed music, best of all, much more real estate to play. Makes finding and clicking units much easier.

Yeah, start with GDI. NOD missions are a bit harder than GDI missions as well. If you play the PC version, after beating both campaigns, do the New Missions. Use sandbags/concrete walls to your advantage. I think even the manual of Covert Operations recommends them because of their difficulty.

I think the Wikipedia entry for C&C says it best about the 2 sides -
GDI units are intended to be sturdy and are often more powerful than their Nod counterparts, at the cost of being more expensive and having slower movement. GDI forces also have access to air and naval support. Stationary defenses include the guard tower and missile armed advanced guard tower which can engage ground and air targets. Conversely, Nod's units are cheap and fast, at the cost of withstanding less punishment. Nod forces are made to avoid direct engagement as much as possible, relying on hit-and-run tactics, active camouflage and guerrilla warfare to gain the advantage. Nod also has access to limited air support and naval support. Stationary defenses include the anti-tank gun turret, the Obelisk of Light laser guard towers and the surface to air missile (SAM) site.
