I've heard that its good, but you're basically better off with any other version. I do believe it's on DSiWare in the states, so if you want Cave Story on the go that might be the better (and cheaper) option.

I've just been waiting for the 3DS Cave Story to hit $20 or less. I love NIS America, but the original Cave Story is free.

I'm waiting for the $20 price tag, too. It's really dang hard to justify paying $40 for a game that's been freeware for years.

Bought it on DSiWare.

Will probably buy in WiiU if they upgrade/replace the Wiiware version to the most recent Cavestory+ version.

The game kind of reminded me of Out of This World.

What does this run on DSware - $10?

I heart this game so much. It was made specifically for our demographic. Multiple playthroughs are a must.

Too bad the Wii version gimped the sound so badly, because the music is awesome. The sound of the Doritos of Power hitting the ground will make your ears bleed unless you lower the SFX volume.

Did you know that one dude made it over 5 years in his spare time? I thought it was a pretty damn fine game without knowing that but after finding it out, it seemed even more impressive.

Actually, they released an update for the Wii version which fixed the "Doritos of Power deafening sound" bug. Also it fixed the "Music needs more bass" bug. And some other stuff too... Maybe you need to go to Wii Store and redownload it.
