I just finished the game. That last boss was tough with his 8,000 damn hit points, but I managed to do it on my second try. Thanks for all your help, guys! =)

Now go back and perform 100 super jumps and beat the optional boss!

The optional boss and the super jumps are in two completely separate leagues. Fuck those 100 jumps!.

Yeah, I really wanted to, but I wasn't able to get 100 jumps. I was barely able to get the 30 (that's how many it is, right?) jumps, and I was damn happy about it. Beating the optional boss wasn't too hard though if you're leveled and have good equipment. A hell of a lot easier than trying to do 100 jumps, that's for sure!

Square really does love their tedious side challenges. A similarly aggravating challenge is the 100 lightning dodges in FFX (although that challenge is at least possible).

The "optional" boss had me do a fanboy squeal, and I went to the internets to find which FF he came out of, and then I found out it was more like an "inspired" character, but you gotta hand it to Square.
