You can't really go wrong with the Master System. I mean, the name says it all. Sure, most of the covers are horrible, but it has an excellent library of games that are still ripe and playable. Since the console and controllers are black, you can very easily get them to look minty fresh. No yellowing.
So get yourself a Master System, a couple of controllers and then get yourself some shmups, some platformers and some multiplayer games. Bubble Bobble and Master of Darkness are a couple of personal favorites.

Ok i get it. I understand but I just want a etro console just to sit back and relax and enjoy for the weekend. I owned every system since the nes till now except the master system. I just think its a system that I can get into and buy a couple games a month and these are games that I never played before. I played genesis versions of colums and sonic but not the master system.
I don't think I could get bored with the master system and I can only get games from ebay so i won't be buying on impulse like I have done on the snes, nes, genesis, ps1 ect. in the past since those games are everywhere and if I or anyone sees a deal like contra for 5 dollars or so anyone here would pick it up. So I think if I decide to get one It would be a nice investment and it won't cost too much money for gaming.
