My brothers and I enjoyed Run Saber (SNES) a fair bit back in the day. Enough to buy it after a few rentals.

While it winds up not being particularly challenging, the Serious Sam games are great fun to blast your way through as a group. Unless they've changed it in the HD revisions, you just get bumped to the latest checkpoint anyone you're playing with hit, with any guns any of you have picked up so far, with infinite lives...so you wind up just kinda brute-forcing your way through the game no matter what. Still, we always found it to be a welcome break from competitive plan at LAN parties.

OMG how did I not think of that? My friend Grant and I spent an entire day from dawn until past midnight playing through all of Metal Slug Anthology (and then starting over when we finished the last one).

Metal Slugs, TMNT's, Crows, Knights of the Round, Captain America & The Avengers, any co-op shmup, Timesplitters series, I could go on and on.

Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance. I remember spending a straight 12 hours playing this and completing it with a friend. Great game, although we couldn't go through it again with our maxed out characters
Trauma Center: New Blood. I play this with my fiancee and it causes many arguments! "You're not stitching properly!" "Get the glass out!" "You're killing him!"

Gauntlet IV, which is the best version of Gauntlet I have played. Besides the arcade perfect port of the first game with awesome music you have a specific Quest mode which different dungeons, stats and lots of goodies. Very, very nice.
