Please tell me that "syfy" has not become the standard spelling of "sci-fi".

If anything, I dislike the combat in Bioshock even more. Every gun feels like it's shooting paintballs and the different ammo types only give you choice in that by using the wrong one at any time is willful stupidity or masochism. Bioshock 2 was so much the same that I couldn't even bear more than a few minutes of it.

Mass Effect 1 was definitely the slowest in terms of gameplay excitement, but I still loved it. I did all of the side quests. Mass Effect 2 is definitely a LOT more fun, though. I would advise against just skipping to ME2 since the story is part of what makes the series so great.

IT is the story man, plus Mass Effect 2 combat is better.

I guess I am in the minority who liked me1 over 2. I appreciated the more rpg nature of the first while 2 and 3 are more of a shooter as popo said. All great games, but 1 is my favorite in the series. It is a bit sower paced, so those who are into more frantic action may be turned off a bit...
