If Japan ever falls in love with the FPS genre, they will be worth a ton.

By the time they have any historic value, they are worthless as you cant host your own servers in CoD and in console FPS games in general
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

There's still the single-player, along with local multiplayer.

You're kidding, right? Have you actually played any of the single players since Call of Duty 2? Honestly, I think my 2nd grade cousin could write a better storyline. As for the local multiplayer...I go back to what I've said since the 6th gen ended; no bots = minimal fun.

Yes, but only up to COD4.

They just get shittier and shittier from there on out (although I thought CoD4 had a pretty piss poor excuse for a storyline as it was...)

It's an FPS, what kind of story are you expecting? Anyway, the gameplay was awesome, and that's what really matters.

As mentioned, regional differences get kinda crazy when you talk about current releases at some standard market price, rather than the aftermarket price. There's the aforementioned Euro = USD issue, but then there's also the fact that many 360 games cost ~$80 when you convert from their price in yen to USD. You have things like differences in currency exchange rates and differences in cultural price points. For a game that sees release by the same company in multiple regions you could say that Europe costs more because you're covering the price of localization (though it's probably moreso because they can).

So Half Life 1&2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Deus Ex, System Shock 2 and Bioshock arent first person shooters? Im not saying that every FPS game has to have a good storyline. Whats wrong with releasing a multiplayer only game? Many of the best FPS games of all time had nothing but online, because that what the games were about, competing against other players.
