Backloggery vs RF Generation

I don't think I'm maintaining my RFG list any longer until they figure out a way to allow for uploading spreadsheets. They allow you to download them, so it seems like it shouldn't be a problem to allow you to upload them too. Adding more than 5-6 games at a time becomes a time consuming process...

I only own games I will play, so Backloggery makes more sense to track the games I have played and share this with others. RFGeneration reminds me of when everyone used the IGN collection tool. It's just a static public list, which has its uses, but not for me.

This. The fact that all my cartridge games are loose (besides the ones I bought NIB back when they were "modern") says something about how much I care about collectibility vs functionality.

What arnold_the_bartender said. Basically, RFGeneration has a database, and that's super helpful. Backloggery I use strictly for playing games, while RFGen is my collection, which I keep linked in my sig (those consoles are linked). RFGen also has a few stats. I hope it gets a little better, tho.

I haven't made an RFGen account yet, but this my plan. For Backloggery it's very manual so I just kind of use it for everything... games I emulate, download, etc, but RFGen will be used for what I actually own.

Alright, I've finished uploading my collection to RF Generation. How do I get the image links that I see so many people here use to link to their RF Generation pages?

RFGen image links? I just made this by taking console icons from the internet (and making the GBC one from an actual picture) and just put URL tags around it linking it to my RFGen profile.

Thank you all for suggesting RF Generation! I used IGN's collection feature back in the day, but it wasn't as comprehensive and easy to use as RFG's is. It was real fun studying the labels to my Atari 2600 games and the screws on the back of the NES games also seeing what type of Seal of Quality they had But yeah it's finally complete and now it's also linkable so check out the greatness of my humble 250 games
