It seems like this could be very well true, considering the other recent DC ports. I doubt this is a Shenmue III hint, since Sega has been firm on not ever making it.
I havent played Shenmue but i agree with the OP. Games like this are going to be on the wayside because everyone is on the COD tip. I never played COD games as well. One thing i noticed if you can generate enough hype people will follow often blindly and for no reason. This just doesnt just go for video games but in general.

If this is true, count me in. Even though I have copies of Shenmue and Jet Set/Grind Radio on my Dreamcast, I will rally my support behind SEGA because I appreciate their contributions to the gaming world and want them to continue.
