Yeah that's about the extent of it. Sad to say.
Master System isn't as import friendly as popular belief suggests.

There's neither proven working pin converters to play Japan-size carts on western models, or a known mod to get Japanese models to use the western region setting (dual language games should always display their Japanese content on a Japan model).

Whee I left some words out. That was supposed to say something more like "just with any speed differences if they only released the game in a 50 Hz country and you're playing them on our 60 Hz systems."

True... I wouldn't be surprised if there's games we may never know the intended speed. Not like devs from back then are just going to pop back up and comment on 50/60hz differences. If they can even remember details that specific after working on potentially numerous other games over the years.
