Atari Jaguar or Neo Geo CD?

I have both and I play my Jaguar way more than my NGCD. In my opinion if you like fighters I'd say go with NGCD. If you'd like to play FPS and a variety of other games I'd go with the Jaguar. Either way you're expanding your collection so you can't go wrong!

Isn't the Jaguar CD notoriously unreliable? I can speak from personal experience that few things are a bigger bummer for a collector than the day a console dies.

I think I'd go with the Neo CD. I really enjoy my AES, but like you said, it does a real number on the wallet. The CD versions of the same games are a fraction of the price and perhaps a hair easier to collect. The ultimate would be an MVS--do you have room at your place for a nice 4-slot?

quick question about the Neo Geo CD, if I get a Japanese model will American CD games still have American text, I know some AES games do this but not sure about CD's.

As long as you mod the region to be US, its very simple to do, if you want a permanent region mod that does not affect the outside of the console, you just need to solder a single jumper. I went with a switch that can change US to Jpn region, and mounted it on the back of the console.

Either way it is very easy to do, and all games will display in English once the mod is done.

do the CD's come with an option to pick the language from the main Menu?

The actual games are region free, the language that is diaplayed depends on the region setting of the console itsself.

Thanks, what I meant to ask is how many games have the option like king of fighters 99 for instance where there is a option to pick the language under the options section?
