Lemme know if you need/want some Sanwa pushbuttons or a stick for your Mad Catz. I've got a bunch of parts.

Later on if you get a 360, Deathsmiles is extremely cheap online.

Huh, for some reason I thought you had way more shmups than this. Now I'm tempted to check out my collection too...
Do you have any plans to go after Saturn shmups? That's the shmup collection I'm personally always trying to build. It's very expensive but I think it's worth it, so much greatness. The best shmup collection is one you regularly play and will get your money out of, so always consider that while collecting this particularly expensive genre of games.

Heh. I love shmups, but I probably only own a few dozen. 10 of them being doujin. Another 10 being every Cave 360 release. I tend to sell off games I'm not enjoying as much as I should rather quickly.
You've got a good start there noise!

+1 for Saturn. It has the best shmups of its generation, dare I say, it is probably the best system for shmups

Dezaemon Plus (PS1)... now I can make my own shmups!
It's a shmup maker? That's awesome! Sounds extremely tedious too.

yeah it's a make-your-own shmup game. There's also sample games on it as well.

I had DeZaemon 64 - but the text made it too tedius to navigate :/ *I concede, I am impatient*
Does the PSX game have an english text option?

no, but MonkeyPaw Games re-released it on PSN last year. When they did so, they put a nice handy English guide on their website: http://monkeypawgames.com/games/dezaemon-plus/
