I try to keep most of them hooked up, i would only store the console if it needs works (sega saturn needs modchip solder on) and my n64 ( the painted flower one).
Just curious does leaving the game cart push in damage the console? Im afraid to damage my snes so whenever im done playing i usually just give it a pop so its not making any contacts.

When I'm not using a system for an extended period of time, I leave it out in its usual spot, but unplugged. I have nearly zero storage space left.

I have them all plugged in and ready to go bar various duplicates and my 2600 which I'm currently trying to repair.

All my stuff is in a 9x12 foot room (with a closet). I have six consoles on a stand under the CRT (though only three are actually hooked up) and the Xbox 360 hooked to the flat screen. Everything else is stored. I wish I could keep everything hooked up at once but I simply don't have the space.

Yes. Most of my games and consoles are in tubs. The Wii is the only one hooked up right now, both 360s are in a big cardboard box, which will soon be a tub (just gotta decide if I want a big one for both 360 and Xbox including steel battalions or a SB only tub

Awwww...Ryan is growing up! First to go is your games. You then get new firends (that do not play games), then you get married, buy a house, have 2.3 children and a dog. Then you get old, go senile and forget everthing that gave you joy.RyaNtheSlayA wrote: Not so much asking if it's normal or anything, just seeing if anybody else has done this/started doing this.
Me? I keep 'em all hooked up all the time. Gonna put up the good fight and stay in the 90's game scene for as long as I can.

No, gaming isn't going anywhere. I just don't play my retro stuff nearly enough to warrant keeping it out 24/7. It's a space/use issue. They're easily brought out when desired.
Older. Not wiser.

Solution: skip the wife and kids, jump to getting a houseRyaNtheSlayA wrote:It's a space/use issue. They're easily brought out when desired.

Please explain the bolded part. I'm the oldest in my house, so I haven't actually seen that happen before.Majors wrote:Awwww...Ryan is growing up! First to go is your games. PS: I'm not ready to grow up, I still have grape jelly I need to smear on the couch.
