1. Getting all the Chaos Emeralds in any classic Sonic game (me too!)
2. Beating any RTS game on a difficulty setting other than easy (I love RTS games, but I suck at them)
3. Beating a Civilization game on a setting higher than Prince
4. Winning Super Mario Bros.
5. Completing a JRPG that's not short
6. Killing all the grubs in HL2 Episode 2.

If you hit it just right, you can keep bouncing on him and get a ton of extra lives.flex wood wrote:Jumping on that damn turtle on the stairs.

I think that's what he meant. I've never been able to do it either.J T wrote:If you hit it just right, you can keep bouncing on him and get a ton of extra lives.flex wood wrote:Jumping on that damn turtle on the stairs.

Hmmmmm...... I can't recall what part you're talking about. Maybe get a walkthrough/map?flojocabron wrote: 3. I cant find a stupid island to keep the game going in SKIES OF ARCADIA! Airship navigation is a pain for most of the game. You move slow, the encounter rate is insane, and you keep running into that stupid wall of floating rocks.

Oh yeah, for me:
1. Beat any Ninja Gaiden game. I was excited when the DS one came out, as I naïvely assumed it would be easier than the others. Damn was I wrong.
2. Beat any Contra game (besides the first one).
3. Achieve a high score in a shmup (or any game really) that's actually worth bragging about.

Are you in the south ocean by any chance? The random encounter rate there was brutal.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Hmmmmm...... I can't recall what part you're talking about. Wow, nice topic.
1) Beat Bee NM in Pump it Up. I have been extremely close, under 100 misses, and around 120-130 no-bar. You should be able to pass it with only 90 misses but it's SO FUCKING HARD. It's not that it's tiring (it is), it's that if you miss a quick stream of notes you won't be positioned well for the next. (BTW, The hardest song I beat were Moonlight CZ and Xtreme NM, both no-bar)
2) Beat Xepher [H] in Beatmania IIDX. People say it's not particularly difficult compared to other songs of the same difficulty, but really, I just fuck it up. It's among my most played songs but alas, I suck at it.
3) Getting perfect scores (Save spinners) on all Ouendan songs. I got them in many because I planned to submit them to Twin Galaxies. But I lost interest after I got discouraged by the submission system, ugh.
4) Getting my own/club owned Pump it Up machine. Self-explanatory. Arcade operators that don't know shit about their own bussiness are also big culprits here.
Those come to mind =P
I also beat Civilization V over Prince recently, which is something new for me.
