OK, so here's my last ditch attempt to figure out whats wrong with my PSP. I tested it today with the screen connected, but not actually sat on the PSP. I turned the power on, and got the green lines as usual, but when I pressed the back of the psp as before, I momentarily lost the green lines. It did this with both screens, which suggests that it's not the screens that are the problem, but something else inside my PSP. No pressure will have been exerted on the screens at all.
Any ideas what it could be? It's something that sits in front of the UMD drawer I think, because thats where I press to lose the green lines.

Is there any way you can take the back off the PSP and do the same test again? Perhaps you can pinpoint the cable or connector that is causing the problem?

It looked pretty complicated to get to the back of the PSP, there's loads of little bits that needed removed. I could have a go if anyone has a guide (with pictures!) to do so.
