Re: Gameboy Micro faceplates?

Re: Gameboy Micro faceplates?
Only thing hysterical about that, is the fact Nintendo isnt supporting the damn thing anymore and still has the website up, damn video games have a short shelf life.
You would think there would be a HUGE surplus of faceplates, but NUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!
there is more copies of CIB of Earthbound and Stadium Events than there is extra faceplates!
Re: Gameboy Micro faceplates?
I am still stunned that Nintendo thought a "20th Anniversary" edition meant making a Famicom faceplate. That's how little NOA cared for the Micro.

I don't see why Nintendo released the Micro at the time they did. Having it come out right before the DS was a stupid marketing move. The Micro would have sold way better than the SP had it been released then. Plus there would be a surplus of left over units like the SPs which can be found like anywhere.

It was released during Nintendo's brief "3 Pillar" idea. They thought the GBA and DS could co-exist as completely separate consoles.ChooChooBot wrote:I don't see why Nintendo released the Micro at the time they did. ...at least that's what they told us.

It was released about a year after the DS. It was canniblized be the DS and was killed off a year later. Sad because it was the only Nintendo handheld that was metal, very well built and had so much potential.

I still find Nintendo's logic on the matter rather dumb.AppleQueso wrote: It was released during Nintendo's brief "3 Pillar" idea. They thought the GBA and DS could co-exist as completely separate consoles.

Awesome. I'm gonna head to Circuit City or Game Crazy this weekend and pick one of these sweet babies up.
