I enjoy both games, but the scoring and soundtrack in II are much more my taste. Plus, the game is so silly its practically a cute em up.

I just got my first 1cc today! It was almost a no-miss run of Gradius. A stray bullet got me on the last part of the final stage. I was so pissed I lost the no-miss, but I'm really pumped that I got my first 1cc anyways.

Ok, I finally have to ask - what does 1cc stand for? A perfect clear?

yeah think of a "CC" as a quarter. You put one quarter in the machine and you beat the game. So you might be given three lives, but you can also get extends (extra lives) in the game to build up more. But a 1CC simply means you never continue... never put in that second quarter.

A 1CC on Gradius is impressive, gratz!
