How would a deep dark lava style of Red look on a xbox?

Obviously. A very few folks paint correctly due to lack of know how, impatience for prep work, or in most cases, no access to proper painting conditions.

Point was that a lot of folks paint stuff and it looks really great in pics and then seen up close, it is not the case.

Well I can assure you, that is not the case with the pictures I posted links to. :D

Again, I highly recommend Krylon Fusion. It's the best spray paint you can use for a simple paint job. zoki64 has done some amazing paint jobs, some of the best I've ever seen on the internet. There's no denying that. But that process is a lot more involved, and definitely not for some one that has never painted before.
