Tactics Ogre/Ogre Battle timeline?

People dumped the PSX script/translation into the rom out there. That's what I played.

Well, my thought process is this: I can buy MotBQ and 64 for $70+, or I can get a Wii for the same price and buy them on VC, or I can just emulate them since that's pretty much all VC is anyways (just even more restricted ) I generally try to avoid emulation but in a few cases I definitely consider it as an option. This is all just tentative future knowledge though - maybe when I decide to play the games I'll have the dough kicking around to get physical copies.

Yeah, that's just how my thought process goes when I realize I've been spending too much lately....

Fourth option: buy the PS1 version, rip the ISO to my memory stick, and have a gamesave going across my PSP and PS3 at the same time.

I started playing MotBQ probably about 10 or 12 years ago and never got around to finishing it. I'd love to find the time to go back and play through the whole series in order.

I have played all of the US Ogre Battle/Tactics Ogre games, except KoL. Is their any difference between the US Tactics Ogre and LUCT? Just Curious.
Me personally, I would start with MotBQ, then OB64, then Tactics Ogre on PSX. They're all such great games in their own right that you can't really make a poor choice.

Any here played the Neo Geo Pocket Color game? That one and The Knight of Lodis are the only ones I haven't tried. Loved everything else.

There are differences. The biggest one is you level up a class, rather than individual characters. There's some other stuff too, but the core gameplay is the same.

Id say psp, its the most modernized version. Updated translation and such. I really enjoy the remake.

Cool, I'll definitely have to check out the PSP version once I finish the mountain of DS games I have to play.
