I don't understand how some people can have the nerve to do some of the things I've read about here. Usually if I'm disappointed in something I will just let it be and leave positive feedback anyway. I've been pissed at least 3 times about Saturn games getting here with screwed up cases (which you can tell happened because they were packaged very well, because there are chucks of plastic floating around in the envelope- keyword envelope) and I just try my best to get over it. I guess there's a fine line between whether or not you should take action and make the seller look bad or just chalk it up to a bad experience and move on.
I just had to open my first INR case on ebay and I still feel bad about it. But they live in Florida and I live in Georgia, it should not take 2 weeks for the game to get here, they never marked the item as shipped, or responded to my email asking if they have shipped it. So if they don't respond then that's their problem I guess, hopefully I can at least get my money back.
Yet another eBay question: This time buyer is pushing it

The reset switch was a repair not a mod, and he most upset about the yellowed plastic. You would have really demanded a refund over these things, or are you just playing the troll?BurningDoom wrote:I completely disagree with everyone here. It doesn't matter how small you think the detail is, if you made modifications to the console, every single last one of the changes you made should have been listed. A modded console is a lot different than an original model, and that applies to anything, not just gaming. I would have wanted a refund as well.
@Harper - I think you should take up smashed cases with them, or leave negative feedback. There was guy on these boards called Kholdstare who I paid to send replacement GB controller cover for the wii. It never came, but it was only $8 so I forgot about it. Turned out the guy had been doing this to loads of us before anybody publicly complained. Its def worth registering your displeasure about the broken boxes, those things are hard to find in one piece.
Having said that though, I just bought Sonic and Knuckles which was described as 'Complete and in good condition'. It was complete and everything was in reasonable condition apart from the inner cardboard box, which was very tatty. I decided not to complain as I got it for the price a cart only copy normally goes for anyway.
Also, hope you get your money back on that other sale
edit: He agree that £5 will be fine. He says he only has a mac and wont be able to open a word doc. Would a pdf be readable on a mac? never used one for any length of time

No, I'm not being a troll, I'm being completely honest. What if the guy wanted an unmodified, original model. It's not like that is completely out of the realm of possibility here. Many people don't like their stuff modded or changed. It's like when a car is worth more to someone because it hasn't been restored, it's all original.
It's always better to just be up-front and honest about everything, then you won't run into a problem like this.

Well it was sold as a modded console, overclocked and 50/60 hz, language switches fitted and a widened cart slot. I never mentioned the reset button because I didn't think that it was important or would affect the resale value the same as if it was a pristine classic car.
I also offered him a full refund, which probably would have worked out better for me financially, but would have cost him £18 in postage.

If you sold it as a modded console, then I honestly don't see his gripe beyond the yellowing. But you most likely had that displayed in your listing, so if they're too stupid to look at the images, or read descriptions, then tough shit: point blank.

I've been generally lucky with eBay. I've only gotten one idiot buyer.

I have stories about them, but they don't belong on this thread. Fortunately they are rare in about 150-200 items I bought there.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I've been generally lucky with eBay. I've only gotten one idiot buyer.
