Dreamcast Boxes
Re: Dreamcast Boxes
That's Sega for ya: Always ahead of their time.BananaXX wrote:Anyone else notice how 90's the orange box looks and how modern the black box looks? It boggles the mind, I wonder if they thought "Hmm, our box is SOOO last decade." and redesigned it.

Re: Dreamcast Boxes
Haha I remember when early news of the Dreamcast was doing the rounds in the magazines, Gamesmaster (UK magazine) claimed that there was no sign of the 'Sega' name and logo on the console, and the company were probably trying to rebrand themselves and distance from their past failures. I guess that the mag made a mistake though or early designs of the Dreamcast didn't yet have the logo.CD AGES wrote:Yup! That was always the incentive if I recall correctly. At some point they finally chose to omit their logo. Good thing they still kept it on the actual console.
Anyways, I always quite liked the blue design of the PAL console. The box was very simple, but I liked it:

Own: Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, PS Vita, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii U, Game Boy Advance, DS, 3DS, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox, Xbox 360
Re: Dreamcast Boxes
Thanks for clearing this up. I'm having a hard time finding a Dreamcast in box with the blue one (which I want). What would you guys pay the most for a Dreamcast-in-box?
Re: Dreamcast Boxes
30. 45 if all is in great condition!
Re: Dreamcast Boxes
Hmm. Can't seem to find one for that cheap. The only one I can find is this one.CD AGES wrote:30. 45 if all is in great condition!
