'94-'97 killed/crippled more game series than any other time period, I think. It's too bad Jazz Jackrabbit isn't still around.

EWJ3D wasn't bad... well, besides the bosses.

I'd say the style and aesthetics about it are definitely kind of similar, very unorthodox looks and design... can't think of very many other old platformers like these that had this kind of vibe. Boogerman and Lost Vikings can maybe count.
(Sonic+Megaman)÷Zool = Jazz Jackrabbit.

Yeah, some franchises just couldn't make the 3D jump I guess.

And now the issue (I'd guess) is that these titles are so old, the licenses are up, companies folded, rights are probably lost, etc... so it'd be hard to revive them. Sometimes it's best left that way, but it's also always a little sad looking back on it, lol.

Vectorman is a good call. Really out there for sure, love those games. Vectorman PS2 looked all kinds of awful, I think Vectorman was going to be some solid tank thing instead of BALLS, and yeah. Maybe a perfect example of "good thing this never came out".

I really wish Jazz would make his way over to GoG.
