I don't cut toast often, but when I do I prefer to cut it diagonally.

Unless in other parts of the world "toast" refers to bread that has not been "toasted", I do not cut my "toast", but I do cut my sammiches diagonally.

We could change the scenario so that people will actually vote:
Armageddon impending, only McGyver can save us and for that he has a chewed up piece of gum, three rusty wires and duct tape. He needs half a toast or else earth will go kaboom. Only you can provide it.
Each second you're there wondering how you'd cut it, millions of lives are lost.
Given the situation, what would be your first toast-cutting instinct?
