I actually popped in a widescreen anamorphic DVD of Serenity recently in a Panasonic blueray player on a 32 inch Sony Bravia tv and it looked really, really nice. I have the movie on blueray too, but it certainly doesn't look bad at all on DVD

When HDDVD failed, Fry's Electronics was clearancing out their stock of HDDVDs. I found Royal Space Force/Wings of Honneamise for $20. And it's that box set version too. It was originally like $80 or something. I almost bought two copies of it in case it was 'omgz rarez'.
I love that movie.
