Let's change that "were" to ARE, the good days. They're not going anywhere.o.pwuaioc wrote:Color me like you, mas. NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy - those werethe good days! I can have fun with my modern systems, but I never grow tired of the 8 and 16 bit generation, but especially the 16 bit generation, or arcade games! Galaga, Pole Position, Centipede, love them all!
That's my outlook on it. I still enjoy a lot of modern games, I think there's been some good new IP's over the years I enjoy, Assassin's Creed (after the first one, yucky), Mass Effect, and... uh... yeah, just to name a few. But there's still probably hundreds if not thousands of old games that I haven't even touched. I haven't even completely dove into the Saturn library or the PCE which will both really happen someday I'm sure. I barely got around to the Dreamcast as well, which was part of the better later era back then too. So I rant about new games like most of us here off and on, but in the end I KNOW there are still hundreds of great older games I have to play, and that's an awesome feeling.
