HAH! That reminds me of a retro retail establishment I used to frequent. Apparently around 1995, before that little shop closed for good, a man came in with the then new Sony Playstation and a few games. That guy was broken. I mean BROKEN. He threw the brand new system on their counter and said, "I don't care, I just want a Super Nintendo again and (I think he said) Super Mario world." NO trades, no register ringing, the clerk grabbed an SNES and a game and handed it to him and he walked back out. I mean wow. Never has anyone ever been so depressed over a cutting edge electronic purchase.

That store was pretty cool, but mouthy clerks probably killed it. You could say something negative about one of their products and they would be, "Oh yeah, then get the F-ck out and buy it elsewhere." Come to think of it all the old store around here were like that and their all gone now...

God, so much time wasted in this stupid game. From now on, if I want to dress up a dol, I'll buy a Barbie.

I took a small break for gaming in my final years of High School to first years of college (so about 7 years ago for about 3 years). I mean I had my Gamecube then and upgraded to the Wii at launch but it was the least amount of gaming I did. Played very moderately and it actually led me to sell my Genesis and Master system (sadness).

Very different from now

I'm kinda getting that with Arkham City, which is why I'm afraid to finish it.

Same here! I had my Xbox, N64, and SNES, but the SNES got rarely played, and I only really ever played the other two (mostly Golden Eye or Red Faction II multiplayer) with friends who came over.

I had this happen to a degree with Skylanders.

When I was approaching what appeared to be the end, I was hesitant to continue playing. I delayed a few days, despite my girlfriend wanting to continue. I honestly wished the game would never end.

I did finally finish it, and soon after completed a full play-through with my daughter. Now, even though I want to play it more, I am forcing myself to wait until the company releases the final 10 figurines. I will then 100% the previous levels and perform yet another full play-through.
Selling half my NES/SNES/PS1 collection (ending Dec 1):
