HAH! That reminds me of a retro retail establishment I used to frequent. Apparently around 1995, before that little shop closed for good, a man came in with the then new Sony Playstation and a few games. That guy was broken. I mean BROKEN. He threw the brand new system on their counter and said, "I don't care, I just want a Super Nintendo again and (I think he said) Super Mario world." NO trades, no register ringing, the clerk grabbed an SNES and a game and handed it to him and he walked back out. I mean wow. Never has anyone ever been so depressed over a cutting edge electronic purchase.BoneSnapDeez wrote:...I remember trying to dive headfirst into the PlayStation and N64 library and was just left feeling disoriented. I hated the ugly blocky graphics (people say they haven't aged well, but I thought they looked terrible back in 1996), load times, disc swapping, memory cards, etc.
That store was pretty cool, but mouthy clerks probably killed it. You could say something negative about one of their products and they would be, "Oh yeah, then get the F-ck out and buy it elsewhere." Come to think of it all the old store around here were like that and their all gone now...
