I deleted it after I graduated college and moved out of the target audience. This was back when you needed to be in school to have an account. Then my mom got one, which gave me even less incentive to reactive.

I think Racketboy is my Facebook.
I used Facebook for a couple of months a looooong time ago because it was my sister's way of online communication. What a pile of bloated rubbish, I just wanted to read her comments and see FULL sized pics of her family. Not a reduced image that I can't print out to an 8x10 later. Wading thru all the crap just to read a comment or find the full 6 meg JPG was dog doo. Then there are the EMail flags saying some stranger I never heard of friended me, yeah yeah delete.

Nope, strictly direct EMail for me, quick reads and INSTANT full sized JPGs.

Yeah, those web pages from the early 90s were the best. I miss all of those web sites that just had links to other web sites.

I don't like Facebook.

I have an account, simply because my wife wants her profile to read "Married to Bone" as opposed to just "Married."

I've never made a status update and my profile pictures are just memes and jokes. This is my current pic:



Most of the people I'm close to I keep in touch with, and I have no interest in "getting back in touch" with old acquaintances, high school people, etc. The intrusiveness and lack of security is extreme troubling too, of course.

I like to remain anonymous on the interbutts. I rarely give out my real name or post photos of myself (though I have on this website ). Too many hackers, deviants, and shit-stirrers on the web.

As far as other networking sites go, I have used LiveJournal since 2000 though I've been fairly inactive lately.
