How to repair Pacman cartridge for the Atari 2600?

I've encountered many Atari carts with a piece of plastic rattling around in it due to being dropped at some point. As long as the dust flap opens when plugged in, it should be fine aside from maybe cleaning the contacts a bit. If you get someone to help you with another pair of hands, you can carefully push the tabs in the slots with toothpicks or something preferably non-metallic instead of screwdrivers and then push that flap in to check that the contacts are clean and look ok. Really I think it is just fine. :)

Yeah I think thats the problem because I tried putting it in again just now and it will not go in all my other games fit perfectly in

Ok, so maybe part of the flap mechanism broke. Pac Man is hardly a sacred cart so you could try to break out the flap I suppose, that way you still have a nice label on it. As long as you leave the white contacts bit alone it will work fine. Some 3rd party games didn't even bother with putting the flap in there. Or you could just get another cart for 50 cents.

I payed $3 for it though so I will break out the flap if someone could explain how I do this because I have never been fixed a game unless it was a scratched disc
