If your gonna get gamecube games from gamestop make sure they are in good condition. Most GC games that get traded in to gamestop arent in the best of conditions. So ask to have a look at them before you buy them.

So yeah you can get some games real cheap there.

But I dont think Skyward Sword will go down anytime soon. 1st party Nintendo games usually dont go down untill many months later. If at all.

The point is to have fun and you definitely will with all the cool games your gonna get for the cube.

oh and dont forget to get a gameboy player for your gamecube as well.

Thanks so much guy's. I do have the wii so Yes I do have the gamecube but Either Iget a controller for 15.00 or for 5.00 more I get an entire system. I am going to buy the really cheap gamecube games first and I will get the zelda and mario's on ebay If I wait and be smart about it, I see that people have those games and a few more for 30.00 or so as a bundle. So metroid prime, star wars, monkey ball, capcom vs snk 2,(I still own the hori pad for the game boy player so capcom will play just fine) mega man x collection, killer 7, wwe dor 2, wario land, and I think that's all on my credit. Thanks again guy's. I think those are great games to start off.

Get a Gamecube, GBA Player and GC games
The biggest reason is the GBA Player, it only works on the Gamecube. Used Gamecube games are inexpensive right now and will be harder to find CIB the longer you wait. Try Gamestop, it will be cheaper then EBay.

Earlier today I was going to use my gamestop card and decided to pick up some gamecube games instead of picking up zelda skyward sword bundle. I do want to thank everyone for the feedback but I am going to forget about me and use the card towards christmas gifts for my kids. They come first and it's 60.00 towards 3ds games. I will have to just wait till after christmas. While I can enjoy some great classics I would rather enjoy the smile on my kids faces on christmas time.

Not a bad choice. What will you be getting them on 3Ds? The new Spyro game? Mario Land 3D?

I'd go the GCN route all day.
Actually, from my understanding, Nintendo is notorious for not dropping the price on their new titles. New Mario Wii and Brawl are still $50 new (~$45 on Amazon). The thinking on their part is that if they develop a reputation for dropping retail prices soon after release, people will wait to buy the games for cheaper.

I just got Skyward Sword (and Skyrim and Rayman Origins....sigh too much to play) and I'd say if you want to play a Wii game with fully realized motion control go for Skyward. And to boot it's a new proper console Zelda title. The games you mentioned for the Cube are great and there are more gems out there too you can get on the cheap, so I guess you gotta ask yourself, do you want to relive some old classics or play through a new game and share in it with other gamers as it is still new? That's what I like about Skyrim right now, I know a lot of gamers, online and in person, playing it right now and we can BS about our experiences.

Regardless, you'll have fun!

I don't know about that...if your not afraid of Nintendo Selects, $20 for those new "classics".

If your not afraid of used, the originals can be had for $20-25.

I'd think Skyward Sword will be available used for $25ish in 5-6 months.
