I went to a Book-Off that sells Japanese books today. They had most of the One Piece manga, in Japanese, for $5 a book. This beats anything else I've seen. I also saw huge bundles of manga such as 30 volumes of Naruto for $60 total. Damn, this place is awesome!

I picked up a few books and I will be sure to return again. They also sell Japanese video games but unfortunately they are overpriced compared to Ebay.

Now I feel stupid for spending $7.21 per manga on Ebay.

Book-Off in the United States? I did not know that existed. What was the store like? Was there a lot of Japanese stuff (games, too?) or was it basically just the "book off" style of being a second-hand store (but with mostly U.S.A. merchandise)?

I've been to two of the USA Book-Offs now.

The first one I went to was the Westminster one. It sucks. They didn't have anything Japanese. It was all English. A very American store.

I went to the Marukai Book-Off today and it actually had a lot of Japanese books, manga and video games. The store was much larger than the Westminster one. They also had English books and games.

In the same shopping center was Marukai itself, a large Japanese supermarket that also had little shops for sushi, bakery, cooked foods, boba tea, etc. I bought a bunch of awesome Japanese food including uni and even nattou! It is probably the best supermarket I have ever been to. I will be sure to become a regular customer.
