anything game related around here at goodwill seems to go straight to their auction site where you can overpay. 2 years ago i could make the goodwill rounds and find alot. not so much now. ebay has better deals.

A new used game place opened up near my house that is mostly starting off with just the owner's private collection for sale. I thought I saw Air Raid, for the Atari 2600, which last sold for $31,600. I got really excited that he was selling it for $3, but then I realized it was River Raid for the Intellivision. :(

Or not because we have enough threads with people whining about thrift store prices even though they're a business just like everywhere else. :|

Besides, this is about thinking you've found something über rare and realizing you haven't and other things like that, not about thrift stores overcharging or having lame business practices.

A couple of years ago before I had my 3D0, I saw a copy of Street Fighter II at the fleamarket.

I knew about this game and I was getting excited, as I opened it to see....... It was empty, a theif got to it!

Went thru the seller's stuff and didnt see anything else! Just Audio CDs

Dammit.

I left all sad!

And now I realize that I should have bought the case as well! Even empty its still probably worth something!
