I'd also say to skip DW I&II and go strait to III, that game is incredible. As for Phantasy Star I recommend getting the Sega Genesis Collection on PSP to play II, III, and IV since you can turn it off and save whenever.

I really like the graphic updates on the SFC versions. I gave up on the translation of DQII though because of a glitch with the prince when he get's sick. The DQIII one has some great enemy animations.

the PS3 Sonic Genesis Collection actually has all four games, so I'd suggest that.

I recently played Phantasy Star I-III on the GBA. To be honest, I found all three games tedious as hell. Be aware that there is a bug in the GBA version of Phantasy Star I which will occasionally cause the game to crash upon saving. So make sure you save constantly (you can do it any time).
