Well after nonstop hours of playing the game, I can say it's a GREAT effort by SNK Playmore and Atlus. The console version of KOF XIII is a perfect port of the arcade (sans balance tweaks) and runs as smooth as silk. A short but sweet "Tutorial" mode to freshen up or get newbies up to speed with the games mechanics. A "Mission" mode with 3 categories involving Time Attack, Survial and most importantly Trails (wow the combos are crazy in this game, puts SF4 combo trails to shame). "Options" are pretty basic and nothing worth mentioning, except for the Sound category. Volume sliders for multiple categories involving Music, SFX, Ambient BG sound and vocals. Also there is 2 selections of music to choose from which is Type A (arcade music) and Type B (classic music from previous KOF titles). Now th most important aspect of this game, Online Play. I played a few dozen matches online with various connection speeds and after hands on with it I can say the netcode is about SF4 standards or better. 2 bars is slow and laggy as fuck. 3 bars is playable... it's definately an improvement over KOF XII online play for sure. The games new console exclusive intro is meh perfer the arcade version intro 100 times (luckily it can be watched in the game "Gallery" mode. Loading intervals are pretty good and even better when installed to the console HDD (the game is a modest 2.1Gig install on Xbox360). Well I think I've shared pretty much all I have experienced with game. I quite happy with it and recommend it to any SNK KOF fans as well as Fighting game aficionados. KOF is back and in spendid fashion! ;D

That sounds awesome, CD. I'm so hype right now. I thought I wasn't going to be able to get the game until December, but I was able to pull some things together and I pre-ordered yesterday.
