Release date delivery... MY ASS, RELEASE DATE DELIVERY! :x

Seriously though, it was a bit odd yesterday seeing the package tracking info say that the estimated delivery would be on the 20th but the package hadn't been shipped yet.

How's everyone finding this?
I ve already finished campaign on hardcore and got all the collectibles. The story really kicked up a notch,Some truly memorable moments that will be forever in the memory of the series.I wont say what i thought were those moments due to spoilers.

I tried the multiplayer, its good but to be honest my days of trash talking and shotguns are long gone.I get my fun with the bots now.Probably cos it makes me feel like a better player than i am!

It is a good send off for the series despite a nagging feeling i have that we may see a prequel at some point?

Now to do a 4 player co op session on insane to really stake my claim.

damnyoufast

I just finished up Act 1 and was pleasantly surprised by how long it was. I quite enjoyed it and hope to get some serious time in this weekend whilst avoiding the inlaw invasion.

I never understood the appeal of trying to finish a game as fast as possible. I like to take my time and savor the experience like a fine wine.

Ive always enjoyed the gears story and finished all of them in a few days just as i did with halo 3.Its just the way im built i guess. The game isnt going anywhere anytime soon though.

I enjoyed this new campaign, but I liked the story in 2 the best.

I just finished Act III this morning, and so far the writing and direction in this game is by far the best in the series. Gears 3 improves on Gears 2 about as much as Gears 2 improved on Gears 1, which is quite a lot. Very impressive so far, and I am glad I picked it up at release (even though I had been on the fence).
