Re: Some love for the CD-i
the only memory i have of playing CD-i is when my uncle bought one when we visited him for christmas during it's life span. i remember playing Zelda, Mario and Dragon's Lair. i remember fondly i did not like the controls of the games, and the graphics did not wow me either. but overall everyone had fun of what was presented with our young minds. is that enough love?

Re: Some love for the CD-i
At least it's something... I think I just feel bad for the CD-i. For me that brave little console was my go to study device for my physics project one year, my homework cheat-sheet especially for biology, my CD player (even if I did basically listen to only 3 CDs over and over), and a way for me to play a little Lemmings or Mega Maze at 2am which I still claim to this day helped keep my mind active. Both are puzzle games after all. I really did get a lot out of that console, even if I know it really is crap as a games console, it feels slightly wrong to make fun of it.sevin0seven wrote:the only memory i have of playing CD-i is when my uncle bought one when we visited him for christmas during it's life span. i remember playing Zelda, Mario and Dragon's Lair. i remember fondly i did not like the controls of the games, and the graphics did not wow me either. but overall everyone had fun of what was presented with our young minds. is that enough love?
Part of me feels like I was running some kind of home for abused consoles now that I'm older and look back, both a CD-i and a 3DO, there was clearly something wrong with me too as I never actually owned an SNES or a Playstation... my brother did, but I didn't.
